Mount Tsukuba is one of the most iconic mountains in the Kanto region. The legend of the double peaks (male - Nantai and female - Nyotai ) attracts thousands of tourists every year. The ease of reaching the top, whether by cable car or cable car, contributes to its popularity, but for fans of a “sweat”, it also offers options.
The most popular trails for going up are those that run parallel to the cable car line that departs from Tsukubasan Jinja and the one that departs from Tsutsujigaoka park , where the cable car departs.
The routes are short (1,8 km) for 877 meters high, but as you climb zigzagging, the ascent time is approximately an hour and a half and one hour for descent. It cannot be said that the trails are easy. At some points they are quite steep and the roots of the trees on the cable car trail and the stones on the cable car trail require greater care, but nothing of a more “hard” level, so much so that they are trails made by people of all ages.
As the trails are narrow, on weekends and holidays, at some points, they become congested.
