Honda Civic Type R 2020: Revised styling and aerodynamic performance
The 2020 Honda Civic Type R made its world debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon, which took place at –Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture in January 2020.
The vehicle incorporated numerous changes.
Its dynamics have been improved, including new two-disc brakes and new pads designed to reduce braking and improve braking efficiency at high speed. The suspension includes high-performance shock absorbers that increase driving comfort. Stiffer rear bushings that increase grip and reduce friction.
The new exterior design included a larger front grille opening. Therefore, engine cooling has been increased, making it possible to use the new Boost Blue exclusive to the R-type.

Under the hood, the car still has the power of a 4-cylinder engine.
The 2.0-liter turbocharged direct injection, VTEC valves, produces peak 306 hp and 295 pounds of torque. That ferocity gets to the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
As before, drivers can choose between three driving modes – Comfort, Sport and +R – which vary the suspension situation, steering and throttle response.
New for 2020 is Active Sound Control, which reduces active noise and sound interference from the set.

Internally, fans of the machine can also look forward to further enhancements, which included an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and a shifter with a stylized knob that allowed for shorter shifting manoeuvres. The Honda Sensing set of safety technology and driver assistance was also incorporated, which should become standard in all models of the Japanese brand.
