MOUNT AKAGI IS ONE OF THE SYMBOLS OF GUNMA

Gunma is from the landlocked provinces in the Kanto region, famous for its high-quality hot springs and beautiful mountains.
Among the most popular hot spring resorts in Gunma are Kusatsu Onsen, Ikaho Onsen, Minakami Onsen and Manza Onsen. It is worth visiting the springs to relax after visiting Mount Akagi.
Mount Akagi is one of the Jomo Sanzan, the Three Famous Mountains of Gunma, and is among the prefecture's most beautiful mountains.
It's on the northern edge of the Kanto plain, which means that once you're at the top, you'll easily see most of the other prefectures in the Kanto area, including Saitama, Tokyo, and Tochigi.
Akagi-yama's "aka" means red, and there are many folktales about the origin and history of the name. Monte stands out for its long slopes and numerous peaks that usually receive a layer of snow in winter.
