Goya Champuru, the most iconic and representative dish of Okinawan cuisine, is a stir-fry of goya (nigauri), vegetables, meat and egg.
The main ingredient of cornmeal cake, cornmeal is a word of African origin that means flour according to the Wikipedia. This fine corn flour was widely used in colonial Brazil, mainly due to the scarcity of wheat in the country at the time.
It is not possible to assign an origin to the cornmeal cake recipe in Brazil since the use of corn flour was and is very common in the countryside.
